People ask us all the time: "Which I burn, hardwood pellets or softwood pellets?"

We think it is a very personal preference. It’s all about choosing the right fuel for you based on a variety of factors, including stove, budget, and the amount of maintenance you’re willing to do.

FACT:  Most pellet stoves today are built to burn both hardwood and softwood pellets. 

So, choosing a fuel is a trying out which specific brand burns well in the stove. Usually it depends on the quality of the pellets rather than the species.
